If it is a good sign, or a bad one is yet hard to predict. It is a fact, though, that Egypt’s authorities are the first ones ever to shut down Internet and mobile phone lines in an attempt to curb political uprising.
As we accompany Internet and other flat world developments help societies around the globe to become more transparent, there are still those fighting this development. Will we see more of political and/or military control of the Internet in the years ahead?
It is another important fact, that we have yet to balance the cyber powers of society in order to have a stable democratic platform; Legal regulations, political influence and critical monitoring by a free press.
